Movies in London
We have two interesting movies recommended by the editors this week.
‘Let Me In’ is a Drama, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Horror movie directed by Matt Reeves.

Chloe Grace Moretz stars as Abby, a secretive twelve year old girl, who moves next door to Owen (Kodi Smit-McPhee). Owen is a social outcast who is viciously bullied at school and in his loneliness, forms a profound bond with his new neighbour. Owen can't help noticing that Abby is like no one he has ever met before. As a string of grisly murders occupy the town, Owen has to confront the reality that this seemingly innocent girl is really a savage vampire.

Family friendly events in London
Check out Westfield London Ice Rink at Westfield Shopping Centre.
It's that time of year again - when all of the famous landmarks get turned into ice rinks. This year Westfield shopping centre kicks off the action with a huge rink dropped in between the shops at the centre. No need to worry about adverse weather conditions as the ice is indoors.

Art in London

At the British museum this week, we have Journey through the Afterlife: the Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead.

The Book of the Dead is a compilation of spells that the Egyptians believed would ensure them eternal life. In addition to the works on papyrus there is a display of artefacts including amulets, jewellery and coffins. This amazing exhibition explores the Egyptians fascination with death, and the steps they took to ensure a great afterlife. See the exhibition this autumn. We also have:  RCA Secret at Royal College of Art.

Every year the postgraduate students at the Royal College of Art design postcards to be displayed and put up for sale, mixed in with famous artists' postcards. Each postcard is sold for £45, with no one knowing who created the postcard until it is purchased. A maximum of four postcards may be purchased per person in this blind test of 'guess the artist'.
